Wadebridge town centre resurfacing
From Monday 12 February to Friday 16 February, West Hill from the junction with Goldsworthy Way near the police station, most of the way up to the Travelodge, will be closed 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Access to the hotel, as well as the nearby supermarkets, will be available via the A39 roundabout near the Royal Cornwall Showgrounds. People travelling from the west into Wadebridge should continue east to the Higher Trenant roundabout, and take the B3314 Govena Hill.
Work on Egloshayle Road will start on Monday 19 February and last until Friday 2 March. As well as resurfacing, this work will also see the speed cushion traffic calming measures replaced. Access to and from the town centre will be via Higher Trenant roundabout and the B3314 Govena Hill.
This work is being undertaken as part of our long term, regular surfacing and maintenance programme. This plan allows us to keep on top of our commitments and improve the road standards across the county.
The times for the works means we are out of the way for the majority of commuter traffic, so people will still be able to get to work and to school with little to no disruption.
Through the day, we will have clearly marked diversions. We will try to accommodate day-to-day requirements of people affected by our works, and access will be maintained as much as possible for those people directly impacted by the closures.
To allow work to progress smoothly and on schedule, people are being asked not leave their cars parked in the affected locations at any time during the works.
