South Treviddo Gypsy and Traveller site

We have been appointed as contractor to carry out the work at the Gypsy and Traveller site at South Treviddo, close to the A38. Situated to the southeast of Liskeard and adjoining the B3252, the scheme is expected to be complete by spring 2019.

The council is required to provide, manage and monitor the site as a transit (non-residential) facility for Gypsies and Travellers to temporarily stop en-route to other places. The site will provide additional capacity for the council to move illegal encampments on from public land elsewhere in the county.

Work details

  • The development will comprise of fifteen transit pitches, eight ablution blocks and access and parking areas.

  • There will also be a site management office and holding area for new arrivals, plus electrical installation, drainage and water supply, waste management installation, CCTV and security fencing.
