Further public exhibition for proposed asphalt plant in Launceston

Created 26 Sep, 2017

A further public exhibition about the proposed asphalt plant will take place on Tuesday 17th October at South Petherwin Methodist Chapel Car Park, Launceston.

People can call in any time between 2pm and 6.30pm.

The proposed development site at Bangors, close to a domestic waste transfer station and the Pennygillam industrial estate, is currently used for the storage and recycling of highway construction waste.

We believe a new asphalt plant will:

  • allow us to continue our maintenance of Cornwall’s roads in the most economic and efficient way.
  • increase our capacity to support the road maintenance backlog.
  • help meet future demand.

Feedback from the exhibition will be passed on to the council as part of the planning process.
