Cormac collaborates with councils from across the South West

27 February 2024

Cormac is preparing to welcome councils from across the South West to the next meeting of the LCRIG (Local Council Roads Innovation Group) South West Knowledge Exchange Group.

LCRIG SW Event 2

The event, sponsored by WJ Group, will take place on Thursday, 7 March 2024, at Westpoint, Exeter.

The South West Knowledge Exchange group is made up of thirteen councils from across the region. As well as several supply chain organisations. The group is chaired by Andy James, from Cormac on behalf of the Cornwall Highways Partnership

The LCRIG-facilitated group is open to all organisations operating within the highways and transportation sector. It aims to share knowledge and best practice and overcome industry challenges through fostering greater collaboration.

The theme for the event will focus on ‘Procuring Innovation’.

Dominic Bostock, Managing Director of Cormac, will provide insight into procuring innovation through a teckal organisation.

Other speakers will include local authorities, LCRIG, and industry representatives with discussion topics covering innovative procurement models, products, and services.

Jason Sprague will present an update on the LCRIG Innovation Procurement System - a first-of-its-kind platform for local authorities to buy innovative products and services.

During the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion, and the event will offer networking opportunities with local authority colleagues and private sector delegates.

The full agenda is available to view on the event website.
