Asbestos Surveys

Management Survey

A Management Asbestos Survey/Register is legally required for any non-domestic building constructed before the year 2000. This survey identifies any asbestos that could be disturbed during every day use, assesses its condition, and creates a management plan to ensure safety. We also recommend conducting this survey prior to property purchases to help identify potential issues and avoid future costs.

Refurbishment and Demolition Survey

Prior to any refurbishment or demolition work, a thorough Refurbishment and Demolition Survey must be completed. Our intrusive methodology identifies all potential Asbestos Containing Material (ACM's) in the affected areas, ensuring safety during refurbishment or demolition activities. Our detailed reports outline the type and condition of ACM's, enabling effective safety measures. We can also provide an edit available CAD drawings. Our reports include easy to follow plans.

Asbestos Re-inspections

Annual asbestos re-inspections are crucial to monitor previously identified asbestos materials. These assessments help alert you to any deterioration or damage, ensuring ongoing safety for all.

Contaminated Land

Our experts can conduct inspections and quantitative testing of land suspected to contain asbestos in the soil/ground.

Asbestos Air Testing

We also offer a range of UKAS accredited asbestos air testing services designed to protect your health:

Background Air Testing: Conducted before asbestos removal this test measures initial air fibre levels.

Reassurance Air Testing: Follows planned, non-licensed asbestos disturbance or removal projects. This test checks the safety of your environment. It indicates whether the property is safe to occupy (subject to the fibre count obtained).

Personal Air Monitoring: Excellent practice for tracking asbestos fibre levels for compliance and contractor safety, this involved using a portable air pump.

Background Air Testing: Conducted before asbestos removal this test measures initial air fibre levels.

Visual Inspections Personal: Ensures all asbestos materials have been safely removed, with photographic evidence provided.

Four Stage Clearance: A legal requirement following licensed asbestos removal, ensuring thorough checks and air testing at each stage of the process.

Who should I appoint?

Choose a UKAS accredited analytical firm to handle your air testing, independent of your removal contractor, ensuring unbiased and impartial results.
